Animal welfare in the heart of Denai
About Dogs of Denai Alam - DODA
Our group is passionately dedicated to the welfare of homeless dogs in Denai Alam, a township in the district of Shah Alam, Malaysia. As the stray population numbers grow, some residents are uncomfortable with their presence.
As you get to know these dogs, they are friendly and playful. The perceived ‘aggressive behavior is actually due to fearfulness as they may be exposed to harm but after getting to know the dogs and have interacted with them, they simply want what all of us want, food, shelter and some love.
Many strays have come and gone over the years, some were caught and dealt with by authorities and in many instances these dogs suffer and many do die through inexperienced or rough handling.

Ideally we all want to live in a area where there is zero strays and achieve this in a humane manner, which means every dog will have a home or someone willing to care for it.
They are enforcing a complaint made by us, a complaint that could result in pain, suffering even death to these poor innocent creatures, something we need to take responsibility for.
Every life is precious, harming and killing them is not the solution under any circumstance and we firmly believe our society holds to these values.

Working Together With The Local Community
Rescue & Care
There are numerous stray dogs and cats that are either injured by vehicles, or unscrupulous people. We work closely with local veterinarians to ensure they receive immediate medical attention and care.
Neuter & Release
TNR (Trap, Neuter and Release) programs are still relatively new to Malaysia. Our objectives is to educate the local communities that simply removing stray dogs is not a solution and TNR is the way forward.
Foster & Rehoming
Finding decent forever homes for our furry friends is our top priority and our strict adoption program ensures that people who are willing to take them into their families will be good and loving parents.
